Mets Vs Brewers 7/2/25 betting predictions preview

Updated: Jul 2

Here are three Mets player betting predictions for tonight's matchup against the Brewers (7/1/25), based on recent form, matchup analytics, and prop value:

1. Juan Soto (RF) 2÷Home Run (+350 or better)Soto's on fire lately (.353 AVG, 3 HR in his last 5 games) and he's up against Freddy Peralta, who he's done pretty well against, with a .333 OBP in their past matchups. Peralta's road ERA (4.02) is worse than at home, and Soto's got serious power (.507 SLG, 20 HR, leading the team), so he's a good bet to hit a home run. Milwaukee's bullpen (2.74 ERA) is tough, but Soto's been clutch lately, so a HR prop bet could be a good move.

2. Pete Alonso (1B) - Over 1.5 Total Bases (+115)

Alonso's .291 batting average and .921 OPS complement Peralta's vulnerability to right-handed power. Despite Peralta's past success against the Mets, Alonso's .541 slugging percentage and 18 home runs underscore his offensive potential. Furthermore, his record of achieving 2+ total bases in 7 of his last 10 home games, coupled with the Brewers' middle relief's recent performance (3.52 ERA in the last 10 games), suggests potential opportunities for Alonso late in the game, should Peralta be substituted.

3. Brandon Nimmo (LF) - Over 0.5 Hits (-210) / Over 1.5 Total Bases (+125) Nimmo's been on fire lately, with a .316 average over the last five games and a .333 average against Peralta. He's probably gonna get a hit. The hit prop is tough, but his total bases line looks good. He's gone over 1.5 TB in four of his last six, and Milwaukee's pitcher has struggled against lefties this month. Plus, Nimmo's leading off, so he'll get plenty of at-bats.

Peralta’s Weakness: His 4.02 road ERA and the Mets’ .745 OPS vs. RHP create opportunities for these power bats.

Bullpen Fatigue Mets’ relievers have a 6.95 ERA over their last 10 games , increasing the likelihood of high-scoring middle/late innings where Alonso/Soto could thrive.

Soto (HR) and Alonso (2+ TB) offer the best risk/reward for plus-money plays, while Nimmo (hit) anchors a safer parlay piece. Prioritize Soto’s power upside against Peralta’s road splits.
